As the harmattan season draws close, the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency SEMA, is set to embark on agressive Media campaigns to prevent dry season disasters in the state.
Executive Secretary of the Agency, Mallam Abubakar Hassan stated this while on a courtesy visit to the Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
He observed that the Harmattan season usually comes along with peculiar disasters such as fire outbreaks due to improper use of domestic gas, Bush burning and the use of charcoal.
The Executive Secretary alerted resident of the state to be sensitive to disasters and prevent any action that could lead to harm of properties, lives and the Environment.
Mallam Abubakar Hassan said the visit to the NUJ state council is to rekindle the long standing relationship between the Agency and Journalists.

He said journalists especially in Kaduna are dependable alies in any attempt to curb with disasters because of their experiences and selfless service to humanity.
Comrade Adamu Yusuf therefore assured NUJ’s support to SEMA to succeed in all it’s mandated activities.
