Sen. Kashamu’s Loyalists Defect To APC

Loyalists to Senator Kashamu have defected to APC.

 

The defectors said that they defected to show solidarity to the Ogun state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Some Peoples Democratic Party members(PDP) loyal to Former Senator representing Ogun East, Buruji Kashamu have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ekohotblog garnered that the defected members took the decision to express solidarity with the Governor of Ogun state,Prince. Dapo Abiodun.

The defeated members were received by the senior special adviser on political matters to the Governor,Tunji Egbetokun in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Egbetokun said on behalf of the Governor that he assured them that the party would ensure fairness, equity and justice for all its members at all times, regardless of how long they have been members.

“We do not discriminate; rather, we give due recognition to all members, irrespective of how long they have been members or their social standing.”

“Our party is open to all, even members of other parties. You have come at the right time, ” he said.

He however, urged the new members to ensure that more people join the party, adding that the administration would not stifle the opposition, as “competition becomes sweeter when there are opponents.”

Meanwhile, the state secretary of the party,Ayo Olubori commended the defected members on their desire to “build the state with the governor”.
