The Senate has adjourned plenary to Wednesday over the death of Jaafar Ilyasu Auna.
The decision to adjourn plenary was reached after the Senate Leader, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, informed the senate of the death of the lawmaker, who represented Rijau/Magama Federal Constituency of Niger State in the House of Assembly.
According to the verified Twitter handle of the Senate, Abdullahi cited Order 43 and informed the Senate of the death of Jaafar Ilyasu Auna.

The Senate then observed one-minute silence in honour of the deceased and suspend all items on the order paper to another legislative day.
The Senate Leader then moved that plenary be adjourned to another legislative day, his motion was seconded by the Minority Leader.
The Plenary,therefore adjourned to Wednesday for further legislative duties.
