Senate asks FG to allocate more funds to NCDC
As part of efforts to strengthen the nation’s health care arsenal especially against the recent outbreak of coronavirus, the Nigerian Senate has urged the Federal Government to allocate more funds to the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC to acquire the latest and most effective equipment to contain the epidemic.
The Senate also Urged the Ministry of Avaition to ensure all persons arriving from China and any other country with major disease outbreak to isolate themselves for two weeks in their homes
The resolutions follow a point of order raised by Senator Chukwuka Utazi on the Preventive measures to be taken on the outbreak of the Corona Virus.

The Senate also advised Nigerians to heed the Federal Government’s travel advisory on China and suspend all travel arrangements until the disease is fully contained.
Nigerians are also advised to observe proper hygiene by washing their hands with soap and water and report to the nearest Medical Center if they experience any symptoms for urgent medical Check
