Senate Suspends Plenary In Honour Of Departed Colleague

The Senate has suspended plenary in honour of the late Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, who died on Thursday.

Late Senator Uwajumogu represented Imo North Senatorial District until his death.

The Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi, drew the attention of the Senate to the death of Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, coming on order 43.

The Senate observed a minute silence in honour of their departed colleague and thereafter suspended all businesses listed on its order paper.

The Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, seconded the motion and the plenary was adjourned till Friday.
