The Senate will be reconvening on Tuesday January 29th to deliberate on the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen.
The Lawmakers on Thursday January 24th, adjourned sitting until February 19th, after the Presidential and National Assembly elections but have now taken the decision to reconvene to deliberate on Onnoghen’s suspension. It was expected that Presidnet Buhari would have sought the advice of the National Assembly before suspending Onnoghen.
The National Assembly leadership will also be meeting tomorrow January 27th to discuss before reconvening.
