Senator Lamido Sends 100 Sokoto Students To India On Fully Funded Scholarships

Senator Ibrahim Lamido of Sokoto East has awarded foreign scholarships to over 100 students to study sciences and engineering at Greeta and MGR Universities in India.

At Abuja Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Senator Ibrahim Lamido urged the first batch of 57 scholarship recipients to focus on their studies and represent Sokoto State and Nigeria proudly.

The N45 million scholarship per student covers tuition, accommodation, feeding, flights, and allowances. Lamido described the initiative as a constituency project to boost education and give back to his community.

Beneficiary Muhammad Salisu Gatawa thanked Senator Lamido for the life-changing opportunity and pledged that the group would focus on their studies.

Abubakar Isa, initially skeptical, expressed gratitude after realizing the scholarship was genuine and felt honored to be part of the program.

The beneficiaries will pursue their undergraduate courses in Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, and Machine Learning, among other related courses.
