Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the Nigerian President, will officially open the Abigail’s Foundation Trauma and Mental Health Conference on April 11, 2025, at the National Centre for Women Development in Abuja.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the conference, organized in partnership with Jewins Women 2 Women, Oxford, UK, aims to provide insights into trauma recovery and mental wellness through a hybrid event featuring renowned trauma coaches and therapists from Oxford University, UK.

Moji Obasa, the founder of Abigail’s Foundation and a certified coach from Oxford and Warwick Universities, UK, has been dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and trauma since 2012.

Her NGO focuses on practical strategies for healing and offers online coaching and counseling services.

The conference is open to mental health professionals, survivors, and advocates, fostering a collaborative environment for addressing the critical issues of trauma and mental health in Nigeria.

Abigail’s Foundation, a newly established NGO, works closely with Jewins Women 2 Women to enhance mental health services and resources in the country.

During the event, a book on domestic violence against women will be launched.

The book shares personal accounts of women in the UK and addresses the pervasive issue of violence against women on a global scale.

Alongside the conference and book launch, Abigail’s Foundation will establish a trauma and mental health centre in Abuja.
