Key Responsibilities:
- Manage technical regulations and address digital rights issues.
- Provide regulatory advice on business-related matters and policy development.
- Build and sustain relationships with relevant government bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry associations.
- Monitor and identify opportunities arising from competitive or regulatory changes.
- Ensure efficient regulatory filings, including spectrum and numbering resources.
- Collaborate across teams to create effective business models and strategies.

- Drive the development of regulatory strategies for key technical areas such as licensing, quality of service, and spectrum management.
- Track policy trends and guide business strategy through regulatory advisories.
- Manage emerging technology regulatory impacts (e.g., AI, 5G) and support regulatory risk management.
- Ensure smooth coordination of MTN’s licensing, spectrum, and numbering resource management.
- Monitor regulatory compliance with service quality metrics and ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Law degree (or related field). A relevant master’s degree is an advantage.
- Certifications: Relevant professional certification/accreditation required.
- Experience:
- 6 to 13 years of experience, with at least 3 years in regulatory affairs or public policy.
- Strong understanding of Nigeria’s telecommunications industry and regulatory framework.
- Experience in stakeholder management in a telecom regulatory environment.
- Expertise in digital rights (human rights due diligence is a plus).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
