AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze will be sidelined for about a month after suffering an injury last weekend.
The Nigerian forward had a concerning moment in the first half of Milan’s 1-1 draw against Roma, falling to the ground while clutching his hamstring shortly after attempting a shot on goal.

Despite showing moments of creativity during his 62 minutes on the pitch, Chukwueze was forced to limp off and request a substitution, with Tammy Abraham taking his place.
The injury appeared serious, sparking fears of a muscle tear rather than just a minor tweak. Further tests have confirmed the injury as a lesion of the left femoral biceps, and Chukwueze is expected to miss at least one month of action.
As a result, the 25-year-old will be unavailable for Milan’s upcoming matches, including the Supercoppa Italiana clash in Saudi Arabia, Juventus in the Supercoppa semi-final, and several Serie A fixtures against teams like Cagliari, Como, and Juventus.
The Milan derby on February 2 is a potential target for his return, but that remains uncertain.
Chukwueze’s injury could also put an end to speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal. The Gunners were reportedly eyeing the Nigerian as a potential replacement for the injured Bukayo Saka, who is out with his own issue.
This setback is also a blow to Chukwueze’s season at Milan, where he has managed only three goals and one assist in 21 appearances across all competitions, mostly coming on as a substitute.
