Seventeen Abducted Villagers Reunited with Niger State Government After Rescue

Seventeen individuals who were kidnapped on March 3, 2025, from Loto Village near Kuchi Sarkin-Pawa in Niger State have been rescued and reunited with the state authorities.

 

They were freed in Kaduna State and officially received on April 11, 2025, at the Niger State Police Headquarters in Dutsen-Kura, Minna. The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Yakubu Garba, welcomed them alongside other senior government officials.

 

The victims had been held captive for over a month in a remote area before being rescued through a coordinated operation. While specific details about the rescue have not been disclosed, the authorities confirmed the successful recovery and return of all victims.
