The council took this decision during the Second Council meeting, chaired by Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, held recently in Lokoja.
The council also lauded the university’s management for adhering to due process in the investigations surrounding these allegations.
While stressing its zero-tolerance policy for unethical conduct, the council affirmed that misconduct would not be tolerated within the institution.
It also ordered the university to expedite the processing of other pending cases, especially one in the Faculty of Science that has recently gained media attention.
The council, therefore, warned other staff members and lecturers to uphold ethical standards and encouraged students to speak out against any instances of harassment.
