Shasha Akowonjo Residents Applaud LASG Over Rehabilitation Of Dilapidated Roads

Residents in Shasha Akowonjo community, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, have applauded the Lagos State Government (LASG) led by Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the rehabilitation of dilapidated roads in their area after years of neglect, as the ongoing road project in the community is reawakening economic opportunities in the area.

Ekohotblog spoke with some residents, who said the road projects in the area will further boost the economic and social disorder in the community. It was revealed that they have been awaiting such repair for years and hope they finish it up.

This online news platform understands that the project entails the construction of a road linking adjoining streets in the area.

Ekohotblog approached a motorist and a resident, Femi Oluwaseun who said, “We are excited to have benefited from the wake and see governor’s infrastructural project. This project will end the long years of hardship we endured over neglect of the road. my brother I have had to change shocks regularly because of this road”.

Another roadside businessman, (Name Witheld), said, “My sincere gratitude to the government for remembering us in this area of Alimosho, now business will be smooth for me and others. The project will end the long period of hardship motorists face while accessing this area, adding, “Before this time, it was difficult for residents to drive through easily, it was hell.”
