EKO HOT BLOG reports that Shehu Sani, a former Nigerian lawmaker and social critic, has voiced his opposition to the proposed N21 billion budget for the renovation of National Stadium Surulere, Lagos.
Sani, who took to his verified Twitter handle on Monday, claimed that the proposed budget is not justified on any grounds.
He further added that although the stadium’s floodlights had collapsed due to the heavy rain, the proposed amount is still not reasonable.
He wrote, “I understand that the National Stadium Surulere floodlight collapsed as a result of the ’Rain’.
But please that proposal of using N21 billion to renovate that Stadium should not be justified because of this.”
