Shehu Sani Mocks Former EFCC Boss, Ibrahim Magu

A Nigerian senator, an author, Shehu Sani, has mocked the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC).

Sani alleged on Twitter that the EFCC former chairman, Magu forgot that power is transient and comes with consequences.

In his tweet he recalled how some EFCC officials had arrested some university boys, forcing them to hold computers and IPads and snapping them mugshot photos which were posted on Social Media.

Shehu wrote, “The practice of targeting & picking young men from the UNN or University of Ibadan & forcing them to hold computers & IPads & “snapping them mugshots photos” and posting them in the Social Media, before even taking them to court by the agency must stop.

“He also alleged that EFCC under Magu was a private army used for persecution and witch-hunting.

“Every time you remind the men intoxicated with power that power is transient and comes with consequences, they think that it will never happen to them.

“The man who doesn’t give bail on Friday now wants bail on Friday; He wants to take what he can’t give.

“The first thing inmates go tell you when you don enter cell na “Hey Mister this na Cell,we get our own gofment here, make you no come do big man here,if you don’t want make we pieces you make you be peaceful and obey here, you hear?”

“If dem take am into that underground Cell, he go meet those rough guys inside, wey dem body be like concrete. Him body go tell am. ma na softly softly I lived with them before I come leave them peacefully.

In another development, Shehu described the suspended EFCC chairman as a dubious and fake anti-corruption boss.

He said Magu’s suspension has vindicated the 8th Senate led by former Senate President, Bukola Saraki that refused to confirm him as EFCC’s Chairman.

He said: “EFCC embattled chairman’s arrest and the probe is a commendable step by the PMB administration and the AGF Malami.

“It’s a vindication of the position of the 8th Senate. Magu was a dubious and fake anti-corruption star who was sustained by corrupt politicians within the ruling elite; He worked for them and himself.

“EFCC under Magu was nothing but a private army for persecution and witch-hunting. EFCC under Magu is a citadel, a cesspool, a cathedral, and a castle of corruption.

“Magu’s EFCC is a political consultancy outfit in the service of the corrupt. Magu was a man looking for corruption in Ghana while sitting on Ghana-must-go.

“Magu worked for some politicians in office and himself and deceived journalists and CSOs to believe him. Magu’s EFCC is a scoop of human faecces coated with a facade of vanilla Ice cream.”
