A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani has reacted to an attack by suspected herdsmen on Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom when he visited a farm in Benue on Saturday.
Governor Ortom, while narrating his ordeal, said that he ran for one and a half kilometres to escape from his attackers.
In a tweet on Sunday, Sani described the governor’s run as “a record breaking sprint.”

He added: “Governor Ortom’s marathon skills, fitness and athletic talent is needed for survival in any bandit or terrorist-infested state in our country. I wish him God’s protection.”
The reported attack on the Governor is the latest in a series of attacks carried out by criminal herdsmen in the Northern part of the country.
