The Jubilee Chalet in Epe was filled with joy and admiration as family, friends, and dignitaries gathered to celebrate the 50th birthday of Hon. Engr. Kenny-Kadri Edu, a distinguished former Vice Chairman of Epe Local Government, political activist, and philanthropist.

During an interview at the event, her husband, Mr. Faisu Edu, shared emotional words about his wife that captured the essence of their bond and her remarkable character.

“She’s the most faithful and straightforward woman I have ever met in my life. From the first day I met her, I knew she was someone extraordinary.

She’s not only an incredible wife and mother, but she’s also a woman of great strength, integrity, and purpose.

Her commitment to our family and the community has been excellence, that is something I deeply respect.

I can proudly say she has been the bedrock of our home, and I owe much of my success to her support and love.”

Mr. Edu continued, reflecting on their life together:
“Hon. Kenny-Kadri Edu is a woman of her word.

Her strength, focus, and dedication have inspired me and so many others. What sets her apart is her genuine nature; she doesn’t do things for recognition but because she truly wants to make a difference.

She has touched so many lives through her work, her activism, and her love for the people around her.”

He also expressed his gratitude for the role she has played in their family’s growth:

“As a wife, she is everything any man could ever ask for, loving, caring, and supportive.

She has always been there, not just as a partner but as my best friend, my strength, and my guide.

She truly deserves this celebration, and I am beyond proud of everything she has achieved.

Prominent figures, including former Lagos State First Lady, Chief (Mrs.) Bolanle Ambode; Federal Lawmaker Hon. Wale Tasir Raji; Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Tobun; and many other influential personalities from Epe and beyond, attended to show their respect for the celebrant.

The Kegites Club, where Hon. Kenny-Kadri Edu has long been involved, honored her with the prestigious title of Life Senior Fellow (LSF) for her continuous contributions to the club’s growth and community development.

Hon. Wale Raji, who chaired the event, described the celebrant as a “loyal, dedicated, and resourceful woman whose positive influence has left an indelible mark on her community.”

Hon. Olusegun Olulade (Eleniyan) also praised her as an activist who played a vital role in shaping the political landscape of Lagos.
