Shock As Powerful Lagos PDP Chieftain Dumps Party After 17 Years, Meets Tinubu
Uthman Shodipe has dumped the People’s Democratic Party in Lagos State.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that after 17 years of membership, Uthman Shodipe, a veteran media assistant to Chief Bode George, has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Soon after leaving the opposition party, Shodipe also visited Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president.
On Monday, September 12, 2022, he posted a message on his Facebook page announcing his resignation to the public.
Shodipe said he served the PDP diligently for 17 years and it is time to move on. The party chieftain also disclosed he spent millions of his personal fortune on enhancing the viability of the PDP in Lagos State.
Shodipe said he made thousands of enemies in the process and his life was endangered. He added that he lost his younger brother, Prince Muis Shodipe, in the process.
