Six Children Feared Dead As Explosion Rocks Zamfara

Following an explosion that rocked Magami village in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State, six children have been recorded dead.

Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs Abubakar Dauran, made this known on Tuesday, February 16th.

He said the children went to the bush in search of firewood when they picked an explosive device and were playing with it when it eventually exploded killing six while left others various degree of injuries.

Eko Hot Blog gathered that Those who sustained injuries were rushed to hospital in Gusau, the state capital for medical attention.

According to the commissioner for security and Home Affairs, they later heard one person among the victims that were hospitalized died.

Dauran said the state had put measures in place to prevent future occurrences of the development in the state.
