Six Trapped As Seven-Storey Building Collapses In Lagos
EKO HOT BLOG reports that six persons have been trapped under the rubble of a collapsed seven-storey building on Oba Idowu Oniru Street, Lekki area of Lagos State.
This online media platform gathered that the seven-storey building was under construction when it collapsed in the early hours of Sunday, September 4, 2022.

In a situation report, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, said no injury was sustained in the incident.
The LASEMA boss, however, stated that operation had commenced on the site to rescue those trapped, adding that the Lagos State Response plan had been activated.
He said, “Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, an uncompleted 7-storey building undergoing construction was found to have collapsed. No injury was sustained however about six people are reported to be trapped under the rubble of the collapsed structure.
“The agency’s heavy-duty equipment excavator will be required for the rescue of the trapped victims. We have activated the Lagos State Response plan. Operation ongoing.”
