• Social Media Influencer Calls For Release Of Akuma

A social media influencer, Mr Shola who created a parody account of former President, Mr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has called for the release of one Akuma Solomon, a pharmacist who was arrested for allegedly making a social media post against President Muhammadu Buhari and his late Chief of Staff, Mr Abba Kyari.

Akuma, a pharmacist intern with NAFDAC, was arrested in Abia state for tweeting that he will “pay a Russian sniper to eliminate Buhari and Kyari” in response to a Twitter post asking “if $1m hits your account, your next move?”.

According to Shola, he met Akuma in detention in the Force Criminal Investigations Department, (FCIID), in Abuja.

Read tweet, ”So Akuma Solomon was arrested in Abia state & detained in the FCIID, Abuja for making a joke about President Buhari. He has been in detention for over 6 months. He is a pharmacist, he was denied bail in court and was also charged with Terrorism.

No one deserves to be treated in such manner. I met him in FCIID when I was detained, I left him behind also. He was the number 2 when I was the number 3 then. This is oppression.

Information got to me that he’s now the number 1 in the cell (cell president).
