Sodomy: 24-Year-Old Trader Rapes 9-Year-Old Boy
A 24-year-old trader, Mustapha Umar, who allegedly sodomised a nine-year-old bor, on Thursday appeared in a Life Camp Magistrates’ Court, Abuja.
The police charged Umar, who resides in Kado, Abuja, with one count of unnatural offence.
The Police Prosecutor, ASP Peter Ejike, told the court that the complainant, Mohammed Nura, who resides in Angwan Berbe, Life Camp Abuja, reported the case at the Life Camp Police station on Jan.19.

Ejike alleged that on Jan.18, Nura reported that the defendant sodomised his nine-year-old son.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 215 of the Penal Code.
Magistrate Chinyere Nwecheonwu admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N300, 000 with one surety in like sum.
She also ordered that the surety must be resident within the jurisdiction of the court and his or her address verified by the court officials.
The magistrate ordered that if the defendant fails to meet the bail conditions, he will be remanded in a correctional centre.
