Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has inaugurated the reconstructed Tahsinul Quran Islamiyya School and mosque, urging local communities to protect the projects from vandalism. He said the reconstruction fulfilled his promise to the Runjin Sambo communities.
Aliyu announced that his administration has awarded contracts for the construction of Islamiyya schools, mosques, and the renovation of various mosques across Sokoto State.
He highlighted the Tahsinul Quran project as part of efforts to provide a conducive learning environment for quality education.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving Hajj exercises in Sokoto State.
While receiving the 2024 Hajj report from Speaker Tukur Bala Bodinga, he promised to introduce new measures to make future Hajj exercises more successful.
Aliyu praised the success of the last Hajj operation and pledged to improve arrangements and welfare for pilgrims.
He commended the Hajj delegation, state Pilgrims Welfare Agency, and pilgrims for their good conduct. Earlier, Speaker Tukur Bala Bodinga thanked the state government for supporting the 2024 Hajj Committee.
