Controversial Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has spoken out following his recent arrest and detention for allegedly defaming fellow artist Burna Boy.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Darlington’s detention was prompted by a formal complaint filed by Burna Boy, accusing him of defamation and cyberstalking.

Last Tuesday, Darlington was released to his lawyer after meeting the bail conditions set by the police in Abuja.
During an Instagram live session, Speed Darlington expressed no remorse for the incident, refusing to apologize or retract his statements about Burna Boy.
He claimed that Burna Boy believed he had sabotaged him and made considerable efforts to get him arrested, which, according to Darlington, only boosted his confidence.
Known as “Akpi” by his fans, Darlington went further to claim that he feels more successful than Burna Boy, accusing the Grammy winner of paying bloggers to promote his work.
