Eko Hot Blog reports that that the newly constructed sports complex on the premises of Epe Grammar School is nearing completion.
The complex was facilitated by the member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Wale Raji and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
Rep. Raji recently paid a visit to his alma mater to inspect the progress of the project and other ongoing ones.
In a statement issued by his office on Thursday, the lawmaker said he was pleased at the delivery of the project, especially the dedication of the contractor who faced so many challenges during the construction.
“He also expressed delight about other ongoing projects in the school and other parts of Epe Federal Constituency,” the statement reads in part.
“He said although some of the projects are from the 9th Assembly, he is committed to ensuring all ongoing projects are delivered by the respective contractors to specification while new ones are coming up to improve the lives of residents of Epe Federal Constituency.
“He said the decision of the people of Epe Federal Constituency to re-elect him once more made the continuation of the projects easier and he owes his constituents the responsibility to get the best of governance at all times.
“He said there are so many ongoing projects at different stages of development and more will come as the year unfolds.”
Furthermore, Rep. Raji noted that Epe Grammar School is a pride for Epe Division hence his commitment to put mechanisms in place to upgrade the school to an enviable standard.
He added that the school has other projects such as a network of tarred roads, solar powered street lights, amongst others, that will enhance academic activities and improve the standard of living of the students and their teachers alike.
