Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has dismissed rumors linking him to the paternity of Big Brother Naija star Nengi Rebecca Hampson’s newborn daughter.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nengi recently announced that she welcomed her first child in February, sparking widespread reactions.

Spyro, who had previously admitted to having a crush on the reality TV star, took to Instagram to share a photo of her, congratulating her on the baby’s arrival.

However, his post fueled speculation that he might be the child’s father. Addressing the rumors via his Instagram story on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the “Who’s Your Guy” singer criticized the assumptions, writing, “Nigerians, very ignorant set. Exactly why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer… But then again, what do I even know? Congratulations again, my Nengs.”

In a separate development, Spyro recently revealed that he is being blackmailed over an alleged sex tape. He claimed via Instagram that certain religious figures were using their influence to cover up their deceitful actions while attempting to threaten him.

He wrote, “Don’t be deceived, the biggest scams and liars are the ones at the top of religious ladders. They perpetrate evil and quote holy books to support their wrongs, then play emotional games and issue threats. The deception is on another level.”
