SSANU, NASU Chart The Course For Abuja Protest After Nationwide Demonstrations

SSANU and NASU will proceed with a nationwide protest on Tuesday over unpaid salary arrears, planning further demonstrations in Abuja.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) have reaffirmed their plans for a protest on Tuesday over unpaid salary arrears owed by the Federal Government.

This decision follows a deadlocked meeting with the government, leading both unions to proceed with the protest to demand their owed salaries.

NASU National President, Makolo Hassan, stated in an interview with Channels Politics Today that the demonstrations will go ahead despite hopes that the government might intervene to prevent them.
