Step Down, Clear Your Name, Durotoye Tells Fatoyinbo
Frontline motivational speaker, Fela Durotoye, has called on estranged senior pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo to step down from being in charge at the church.
Fatoyinbo, who faces rape allegations for Busola Dakolo, a celebrity photographer and wife of music star, Timi Dakolo, was still in charge in the Abuja headquarters of his church as recent as yesterday.
Although he denies ever raping Busola or any other person, many women on social media are threatening to come out with proofs of their own encounters of sexual assault with the flamboyant pastor.
However, Durotoye, also the presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria in the 2019 general election, said the COZA pastor should effectively clear his name first before continuing in his role.
“In line with the scriptures, it is only appropriate that he leaves his gift (preaching & teaching) at the altar in order to first go and attend to this matter, reconcile with the truth and, if exonerated, then return to the altar to serve God’s people with his gift,” Durotoye stated.
“This is what great leaders do in every nation we admire. Great leaders hold themselves to higher standards of scrutiny and accountability to the people they lead,” he added.
