'Stop Copying Fela', Blackface Begs Nigerian Artistes
Nigerian singer Blackface has advised fellow singers to be unique in their style of music and cease imitating legendary Afrobeat star, Fela Kuti.
Blackface, who is a member of the defunct music group, Plantashun Boyz, gave the advice in a post on his Twitter handle.
In the tweet, the singer admonished the artistes not to bother singing if they cannot come up with new sense of creativity.

He wrote, “Dear artist,If you are not coming to the table with something new please don’t come at all , una wan copy Fela finish? Make una dey try create new melody I take God beg una….”
Blackface, in a recent interview with the “WetinDey family” on Max FM, denounced A-list Nigerian singers Tiwa Savage and Davido.
He criticized the female artistes in the industry, especially Afro-pop Queen, Tiwa Savage.
Being particular about the lyrics of her song, the singer noted that they do not positively help society.
