The pact, worth $4.5 million, aims to provide crucial assistance to over 4,400 Palestinian workers and patients from Gaza who are currently stranded in the West Bank.
According to a statement released by Qatar’s state news agency, the cash assistance will serve as a lifeline for those displaced individuals who have been unable to return to Gaza since the start of the Israeli aggression last October.

The situation is dire, with thousands of Palestine refugees from Gaza trapped in the West Bank, separated from their loved ones and livelihoods.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini emphasized the urgency of the situation, highlighting the devastating impact of the Israeli blockade on Gaza, which has restricted movement in and out of the Strip since 2007.
As a result, individuals are forced to seek essential services such as medical care, education, and employment in the West Bank, only to find themselves trapped due to escalating violence and border closures.
The Qatar-UNRWA agreement offers a glimmer of hope for those affected, providing vital support to help them navigate this crisis situation.
