Strange! See Why Lagosians Are Begging Buhari To Lockdown Nigeria Again

A cross section of Nigerians have expressed fear over the increase in coronavirus cases in Nigeria, especially Lagos State.

EKOHOTBLOG had reported that Lagos State on Thursday recorded 183 new cases of COVID-19.

Nigeria recorded 381 new cases, bringing the total in the country to 3526.

The development is coming three days after total lockdown was eased by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Reacting to the development, Nigerians on Twitter called on the State government to lockdown Lagos.

They said easing the Lockdown has done more hair than good and if it is not extended, it might not go down well.

Some described it as a sweet and sour situation. While they were happy that more people are being tested, they are sad because the spread is huge and much works needs to be done, fearing that mortality rate might skyrocket and NCDC may complain on poor funding.

However some residents in Ijegun community, Ikotun said they needed the Lockdown again because it has helped their Spiritual life.

Johnson Duru said the Lockdown allowed him to remember his Bible and now became more serious with God.

He was able to pray more, fast, tarry at night and asking God to reveal himself, something he wouldn’t do if he was working and had freedom of movement.

Mrs Tope Ajala said “Everything worketh together for the good of those that love God.

Whether Lockdown or not, we should not joke with our spiritual lives or our souls, because at the end of the day, that’s all that matters.

This world and everything in it will pass away but our souls will stand before God and we’ll account for how we lived our lives on Earth, lockdown or not”.
