Streets Deserted As Imo Residents Obey Sit-At-Home Oder
- As early as 8 am up to 11 am the streets of Owerri, Imo’s capital was reportedly empty.
The people of Imo state are observing the sit-at-home directive by the IPOB as President Muhammadu Buhari’s arrived Imo state.
This is coming after the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) instructed all residents of the state to sit at home as a form of protest that the Nigerian leader is not ”welcome ”to the state in solidarity with their leader Nnamdi Kanu, who is still under the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
As early as 8 am up to 11 am the streets of Owerri, Imo’s capital was reportedly empty. Major places in the Owerri metropolis including banks, filling stations, schools and markets were completely shutdown.
