Student Bites Off Classmate’s Tongue Over Food Dispute in Umuahia

A senior secondary school student, Amarachi Chibueze, has reportedly bitten off the tongue of another student during a quarrel at a federal government-owned school in Umuahia.

The incident occurred on Friday over a dispute regarding food.

Witnesses say that during the altercation, Amarachi grabbed her classmate, Adaeze, by the neck before biting off the outer part of her tongue and spitting it onto the ground.

Following the attack, Adaeze was rushed to a hospital in Umuahia, where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for treatment.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that Amarachi Chibueze has been expelled from the school, while other sources suggest she is currently being held to assist with the investigation.
