EKO HOT BLOG reports that students at the University of Lagos are now set to protest, following the ASUU strike which has lasted for more than 3 months now.
Student groups had earlier declared mass protests across the country. The locations announced in some of the fliers obtained by our correspondent were, the University of Ibadan main gate, UNILAG main gate, and in some places in Edo State.
ASUU had accused the government of failing to pay academic earned allowances, continuing to use the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System, and refusing to embrace the Universities Transparency and Accountability Solution, among other things.
With that presence of security men, the students are ready for the protest, it is set to hold in different areas of the state.
