Suarez Breaks Ronaldo’s Record As Atletico Madrid Go Eight Points Clear

Suarez the Uruguay striker has continued his brilliant start at Atletico Madrid, breaking a record in their 2_2 draw with Celta Vigo on Monday night.
Suarez struck before halftime to make it 1_1 after Celta Vigo had taken the lead through Santi Mina.
Suarez struck again early in the second half to give Diego Simeone’s men the lead.
These goals took Suarez’s goal tally for Atletico Madrid to 16 in just 17 La Liga appearances, since arriving from Barcelona last summer, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
Suarez, 34, is the first player to score 16 goals in his 17 games, for a team in the Spanish topflight in the 21st century.
The last best of 15 goals in the same number of matches was set by Ronaldo, during his start to his successful spell at real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009.
