Sudan Condemns Attack On Turkish Evacuation Plane

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the terrorist attack on a Turkish evacuation plane by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The incident occurred on Friday, 28th of April 2023, at the Wadi Sayidna Military Airport.
According to the Sudanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mohamed Abdelmannan, the attack was a flagrant violation of the truce, and it was an attempt to obstruct the evacuation efforts of diplomats and foreign nationals. The RSF heavily shot at the Turkish plane as it was landing, damaging its fuel system and injuring one of the aircraft crew members.

Despite the attack, the plane landed safely, and its repair process is currently ongoing. The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the RSF for violating the truce and attempting to obstruct the evacuation efforts of diplomats and foreign nationals.
The ministry has called on the international community to condemn this criminal act of the rebel RSF. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of foreign nationals and diplomats in Sudan, and the need for adequate security measures to protect them.
