While some escapees have been recaptured, many remain at large.

In a statement released by spokesperson Abubakar Umar, the service announced the release of images and names of the escapees to facilitate their recapture. Umar stated, “The Nigerian Correctional Service wishes to publish the information of some escapees from the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Suleja, FCT Command, which is a result of the unfortunate collapse of the facility’s perimeter wall following a heavy downpour on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
