Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, has finally broken silence over the burning of his property on Tuesday.
Ekohotblog had reported that the property of the fearsome and controversy separatist in Soka area of Ibadan metropolis was razed in the early hours of Tuesday.
Reacting to tragic development, Igboho said he would not, for now, point accusing fingers at any individual or group for the burning of his former home. .
Sunday Igboho, who expressed gratitude to God that no lives were lost and no injuries were sustained during the inferno, said he would allow authorities to conduct investigation into the incident.
“I cannot blame anyone right now for the attack, not even Fulani people,” he said by telephone hours after the attack. “We have to thank God that nobody was killed, it is more important.”
He also disclosed that he had moved out of the property about a year ago to a new property also in Soka.
Sunday Igboho has been in the eye of the storm lately over the contentious quit notice given to Fulani herdsmen to Oyo State.
He accused them of being behind the mindless killings and wanton criminalities in the state.
His action was greeted with mixed reactions, while the preponderance of the Yoruba populace, who have been at the receiving end of the herdsmen diabolical activities, extolled him, the federal government frowned at his action with President Muhammadu ordering security operatives to unleash terror on him and his foot soldiers.
The development is capable heightening the ongoing tension around Fulani herders in southern Nigeria.
