Ropo, wife of Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho, is at the Cour De’appal De Cotonou, Benin Republic as the court resumes sitting in the case against the activist.
Yoruba monarchs based in Benin Republic as well as other Yoruba Nation supporters are also in court to support and show solidarity for the activist.
Recall that the Beninise court had on Thursday ordered the unconditional release of Ropo as there were no charges against her.
The court, however, ruled that Igboho be detained in police custody till today when sitting would resume in the French-speaking court. The court is currently investigating the allegations against Igboho by the Federal Government of Nigeria which claimed, amongst other things that the activist is a gun runner.
