EKO HOT BLOG reports that the six governors in the South-West geopolitical zone have held an emergency meeting over the current issues bewildering the region.
It was gathered that the meeting by the South-West governors was held virtually on Friday night.
A source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that the meeting was chaired by the Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who is the Chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum.
However, the source could not confirm whether the governors discussed the invasion of the residence of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Thursday.

The source said, “They are meeting but no one is sure if it is because of Igboho. There are several reasons governors can meet, especially in the face of the precarious situation in the country.”
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that governors who participated in the virtual meeting include Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun), and Seyi Makinde (Oyo).
