Sunday Igboho Speaks, Narrates How His House Was Attacked
- “Yes, I was in the house when they came. They killed about two guys. The shooting was too much.”
Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has narrated how his house was attacked by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Thursday.
EKO HOT BLOG had earlier reported that the residence of Igboho at the Soka area in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, was attacked by gunmen.
The gunmen had invaded Igboho’s residence and reportedly killed two persons and abducted his wife.
Operatives of the Nigerian Army and Department of State Security (DSS) were alleged to have carried out the attack in the early hours of Thursday.
However, the Yoruba Nation agitator, who spoke with BBC Yoruba, disclosed that he was inside his house when the unknown gunmen attacked his residence on Thursday.
Igboho further stated that sporadic gunshots rented the atmosphere at his residence during the invasion by the gunmen, adding that he peeped through the window and saw DSS operatives and soldiers.

The Yoruba freedom fighter said the attack came as a surprise as he hasn’t killed nor fight anyone, noting that all his rallies have been peaceful as he is fighting all the bandits that had killed, raped, kidnapped his family, and demanded a ransom in return.
Igboho, who has been going across the South-West geopolitical zone to crusade his secessionist campaign, added that he took up the responsibilities of the government after failing to fight for the right of the citizens.
“Yes, I was in the house when they came. They killed about two guys. The shooting was too much. They destroyed all my properties, all my vehicles,” Igboho stated.
