Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo, who plays for Rangers in Scottish League, said his decision for choosing Nigeria ahead of England was born out of the love he has for the country.
The Rangers midfielder in an interview with the Eagles’ Media Team via YouTube disclosed that the way he was received by the Nigerian fans was overwhelming.
Aribo made his debut for the Super Eagles, in a 2-2 draw with Ukraine, in a friendly match.
He said: “I think it is the love of playing for your home nation, there is just so much love there and you receive so much love so that’s one thing that drove me to want to play for Nigeria.”
