Super Eagles Player Watch:- Goals For Osimhen, Simy, Chukwueze & Moffi, While Onuachu Wins Trophy
As we do on a weekly basis, EKO HOT BLOG is about to review the performances of some Super Eagles players in abroad who did well for their various club sides over the weekend.
(1) Brace For Simy
We start off in the Italian Serie A where Simy Nwankwo is proving to be an unstoppable force who cannot just stop scoring.
The towering striker (his height is 6 ft 6 inches) scored a brace for his relegation struggling club Crotone as they defeated Parma by a wild 4-3 score line.
Simy now has 19 Italian league goals this season and only a certain Christiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku have scored more goals than the 28 year old.
With those two goals, Simy has also gone past Super Eagles legend Obafemi Martins as the Nigerian player with the most career goals in Serie A. He has 29 Serie A goals (in just 2 seasons).
(2) Also in Italy, Victor Osimhen came off the bench with 18 minutes to go against Lazio to score and seal a 5-2 victory for Napoli at the weekend.
The 21 year old former under-17 forward has now scored six league goals in his first season in the Italian top-flight.
(3) HEADLINE:- Senior Man Can’t Stop Scoring
In the English Premier League, Kelechi Iheanacho was on target for the third straight match in a row, as Leicester City beat West Bromwich Albion by three goals to nil.
The “Senior man” now has a total of sixteen goals in all competitions for the Foxes this season.
(4) Wilfred Ndidi also gave a good account of himself in a commanding victory for Leicester on Thursday night.
(5) Semi Ajayi was a half time substitute in that match but started and played the full 90′ for West Brom on Sunday as they drew 2-2 in the Midlands derby against Aston Villa.

(6) HEADLINE:- Ekong Secures Promotion With Watford
There were wild celebrations in the second division of England (English Championship) for three Nigerian players who will be playing in the Premier League next season.
William Troost-Ekong was part of the starting XI for the Watford team that beat Milwall 1-0 on Saturday afternoon to secure promotion to the English top-flight for next season. The big defender was understandably in ecstatic mood after the final whistle and he celebrated with some tobacco in his mouth.
Him alongside Isaac Success and Tom Dele-Bashiru will be in the EPL as long as they keep their place in the team next campaign.
(7) HEADLINE:- Terem Moffi Scores A Hattrick
In the French Ligue 1, a rising star seems to have been born as he keeps banging inbthe goals for his club.
Terem Moffi scored his first French league hat trick for FC Lorient to help them defeat Bordeaux by four goals to one.
He is now up to 14 League goals so far this season and sits at number 5 position in the goalscorers list.
(8) Also in France, Moses Simon (FC Nantes) provided an assist for the winning goal for his club against Strasbourg.
(9) Moving on to the Spanish La Liga, Samuel Chukwueze displayed a wonderful performance for Villarreal who lost against title-chasing FC Barcelona.
He opened the scoring by going past a defender, dribbling around Ter Stergen in goal and slotting into an empty net.
(10) We move to the second division of Spanish football where a forgotten Super Eagles player seems to be back to his best. Kelechi Nwakali scored his side’s only goal of the day as they fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat.
The 22 year old has been impressive since moving on loan to AD Alcorcón (from SD Huesca) and he now has four goals in his last five appearances.
(11) HEADLINE:- Paul Onuachu and Cyril Dessers Wins Belgium Cup
Nigeria’s top scorer in Europe this season is Paul Onuachu (31 goals League and Cup goals). The lanky forward has been rewarded for his efforts with his first career trophy in Belgium.
His club Genk were involved in the Belgian Croky Cup final and Onuachu provided the assist for the winning goal to hand them the trophy.
The 26 year old target man has been a hero for Genk this season and he celebrated his first trophy at the club with his Super Eagles teammate Cyril Dessers.
