Super Eagles Striker, Victor Osimhen will not join Napoli’s team this weekend following his positive coronavirus test.
Osimhen was inactive for two months after he got injured in the first leg of Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier last November.
Napoli confirmed that Victor Osimhen received a positive COVID-19 screening result after his return to Italy. Osimhen is asymptomatic as we speak and hasn’t been in touch with the rest of the squad.,’ Napoli stated on their official Twitter, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.

The Nigerian international was substituted with an injury to the shoulder midway through the second half of the Super Eagles a devastating 4-4 draw against their West African rivals.
Osimhen went on to miss all seven games of Napoli, due to his injury. He resumed his training earlier in the week ahead of Gli Azzurri’s trip to Cagliari this weekend.
However, he has now been excluded from this trip following a positive COVID-19 test.
