EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sent his good wishes and that of the state as a whole to the team, ahead of Nigeria’s opening match against the Egyptian football team today.
He sent these wishes on his official Instagram handle on Tuesday afternoon.

“As our very own Super Eagles face the Pharaoh of Egypt today, in their first match at the AFCON competition in Cameroon, here’s wishing them the strength, the speed and the agility of an eagle, may they also soar like the eagles they are. Lagos and indeed the whole of Nigeria is rooting for them. We’re proud of them, and salute them for their dedication, hard work and resilience. However the pendulum swings, they are and will always be our Champion.” Sanwo-Olu prayed.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be hoping to record a victory against the boys from Egypt today in their opening game of the torunament.
