Eko hot blog reports that Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu is urging fellow citizens, particularly those from the South East region, to rally behind and defend the administration of President Bola Ahmed, to support Tinubu’s Government.
Kalu emphasized the importance of unity and support for the government, highlighting its efforts to foster inclusivity and economic growth.
In a recent statement, Kalu stressed that President Tinubu’s administration is committed to the well-being of all Nigerians, including the Igbo community.
He called on critics to reconsider their stance and strive to understand the government’s policies.
Kalu, speaking at a dinner in honor of former Abia Speaker Martins Azubuike, highlighted the positive economic outlook, citing increased investor confidence and the projected improvement of the Naira against the dollar.
“Support this government,” Kalu urged, “Tell those criticizing the government on social media to stop. It is time we got integrated into the scheme of things.”
Kalu also commended President Tinubu for appointing individuals from the South East to key positions, including the protection of vital national resources and high-ranking government roles.
He emphasized the need for collaboration and solidarity to address national challenges effectively.
Challenging Azubuike and his team to support the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, Kalu emphasized the importance of instilling discipline and setting high standards in the civil service.
“If you are going to work with the civil service, my message to you and your team is to sanitize the civil service,” Kalu advised.
“Let it be a place of giving service to the nation. Support Governor Wike. Support the President of the republic.”
Kalu emphasized the need for fairness, equity, and teamwork to achieve meaningful progress, urging Azubuike and his team to set a positive example for the entire South East region.
The call to support President Tinubu’s government comes amidst ongoing efforts to foster national unity and development, with Kalu urging citizens to prioritize the collective interest of the nation above individual concerns.
