Eko Hot Blog reports that Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Surah Animashaun, has facilitated the renovation of the Epe Police Station.
Animashaun’s office disclosed the development in a statement issued on Friday.
The renovation exercise included giving a face-lift to offices and reception areas of the Epe Police Station.
The Epe LG chairman’s office said the move shows her administration’s commitment to ensuring the security of lives and properties of residents.
“In line with the focal point of her administration, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Surah Animashaun, is investing in security by commencing the renovation of Police Station in Epe Local Government,” the statement reads.
“The face-lifting of Epe police station -offices, reception areas – includes equipping it with state-of- the art furniture and air conditioner systems.
“This renovation which also includes front view and side view attest to the commitment of this administration to ensuring the security of lives and properties of residents.”
Animashaun also noted that providing a conducive environment such as the newly renovated station will further enhance the performance of DPO, DCO, Inspectors, and their officers.
“This is important because for meaningful and sustainable development to happen, there is need for a safe and secure environment,” she said.
“This is a promise kept. As an administration, we are not relenting to ensure that all hands are on deck to ensure that Epe Local Government is free of crime and several other social vices because we understand the impact of security on lives and properties, businesses and the economy.
“It is hoped that residents will reciprocate this administration’s effort and remain law abiding.”
