Suspected Cultists Strike In Ondo, Kill Vigilante, Two Others

Suspected cultists have killed a vigilante officer and two others during a cult-related clash in Ondo State.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the tragic incident occurred at Oke Agunla in Ondo town, the headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Friday.

Sources disclosed that the suspected cultists, who put on shirts with the inscription of DSS, attacked the house of one Seun Akinsiku popularly known as ‘Shewen’, within the area around 6:00 pm on Friday.

One of the sources disclosed that as Shewen came out of the house, the suspected cultists fired shots and killed him instantly.

The source, who spoke on condition anonymity, further disclosed that the assailants killed an officer of Amotekun and another person, whose identity could be not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.

“As Shewen came out of the house, the people shot him. As they were leaving, they also killed an officer of Amotekun,” the source disclosed.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the incident was confirmed by the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tee-Leo Ikoro, noting that investigation has commenced into the incident.

The police spokesperson, however, said that only two people were killed by the suspected cultists.
