  • A suspected herdsman has killed a farmer in Ondo State.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that tragedy struck in Ajowa-Akoko in the Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State as a farmer was found dead in his farm with machete cuts found on his body.

 

This online news platform reports that the farmer was suspected to have been killed by a suspected herdsman following the discovery of an injured cow at the scene of the incident.

It was gathered that the lifeless body of the farmer was found in the farm at the forest near Ajowa farm settlement by policemen.

With the suspected mannered at which the farmer was killed, it was alleged that the situation might be a case of a confrontation between the deceased farmer and unknown herdsman whose cow was also injured at the farm.

As gathered by EKOHOTBLOG, the incident was confirmed by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for Okeagbe-Akoko, Unnah Paulinus, noting that investigation has begun into the incident.

The DPO further disclosed that the corpse had already been deposited at a government’s hospital in Ikare Akoko.
