Suspected Herdsmen Kill Two Ekiti Monarchs, Others Flee
Eko Hot Blog report Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen have struck in Ekiti State, resulting in the tragic deaths of two traditional rulers. The incident occurred between Oke-Ako and Ipao-Ekiti in Ajoni Local Government Area of the state.

The victims, identified as the Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti in Ajoni, Ikole Local Government Area, were ambushed by the gunmen while returning from a meeting.
According to sources reported by Oodua News, another monarch, the Alara of Ara in Ikole LG, narrowly escaped the attack when the armed assailants intercepted their path and attempted to abduct them forcibly.

“They were traveling together. The armed herdsmen stopped them and rained bullets on them. They took their personal belongings and dragged their bodies into the bush,” a source revealed.
